How are finalists selected? Each category is reviewed by two independent judges, selected for their subject matter expertise and industry knowledge. Judges assess entries based on a standardised scoring matrix aligned with the award criteria. Judges are required to declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if applicable. Scores are verified by DECA before finalists are announced. Judging is confidential, and all decisions are final. Judging takes place between 26 September and 17 October. Finalists are announced 20 October.
